The Grey Gum Café welcomes travellers of all types to drop in and stay awhile. Kim is the owner/operator of the café which is located on 28 acres of land along the famous Putty Road.
There is a free camp set up which has plenty of room for caravans, motorhomes, and big rigs, and pets are welcome. There are some shaded sites available.
The café itself is open seven days a week from 7am – 5pm (closed X-Mass day). Whilst it is free to stay, they would love you to call in and purchase a meal or supplies. It offers a great range of café style food in a county cottage atmosphere. It surrounded by massive gum trees and local birds and wildlife.
ACCESS
Access to the Grey Gum Café is located along the famous Putty Road which stretches north from Richmond in Sydney to Singleton in the Hunter Valley. It is a windy road, and care should be taken for larger units, but it offers a great alternative route with beautiful scenery along the way. The entrance to the cafe is located on the straightest stretch of the Putty Road and access is easy and wide.
FACILITIES
Include Toilets, Showers (small fee as they are on tank water) and laundry. There is also wi-fi access available on request. There are several power points that are available mainly for charging mobile phones and laptops. A small donation for this would be appreciated. There are fire pits also available and wood is for sale on site.
