Situated just outside of Halls Gap and away from the sometimes hustle and bustle of the town centre only being 7 kms away. Grampians Old Man Emu Stay is offering a quiet and peaceful 100 acres for fully self sufficient caravans, motorhomes, or any accommodation type to relax and enjoy the beautiful bushland and scenic views with the Grampians to the west and Blackranges to the east.
All sites are unpowered and are near a large dam with campfire pits, bench seats, and a table; some sites have shade trees and others are sunny sites.
We are catering for the fully self sufficient caravan, motorhome, tent, camper trailer, etc that have their own power, water, showers, and portable toilet facilities are a must.
HOW TO GET THERE
The site is located on the Ararat-Hall’s Gap Road, 3.9km South of Grampians Road junction, or 5.8km North of the Pomonal Road junction.
SITE ACCESS
Driveway is on the Western side of Ararat Halls Gap Rd displaying a Red Banner at the entrance with Grampians Old Man Emu Stay on it. All campers must call into our home, go up the driveway and left to the back of the house. We can book you in and take you to the camping ground or phone to make other arrangements.
FEES & BOOKINGS
From $20/night per van for 4 people, $2.00 per night for an extra person. Visitors must register at office.
THINGS TO DO
We are only 7 kms from Halls Gap town centre which includes a bakery, cafes, chemist, ice-cream shop, and more. The Zoo is only 3 kms from the campground with a winery close by, Hotels have a great meal if you are hungry.
The Grampians offer a fabulous array of things to do, rock climbing, walking, fishing, wildflowers, lakes for swimming, etc.
You are welcome to wander around and watch the native animals, such as Kangaroos, Emus, Deer, birds, and other wildlife, also the White Suffolk Sheep that are on the property. You can stay with us and have a quiet relaxing time only being minutes away from the sometimes busy Halls Gap.
