Brown Beach Campground (CG)

Camp amongst native vegetation.

Brown Beach Campground is managed by Kangaroo Island Council which offers unpowered sites located adjacent to Browns Beach. The pet-friendly site is accessible to motorhomes, caravans, camper trailers, and big rigs with areas suitable for tents.

The Council has 7 camping grounds spread around the island. Each campsite has its own unique features

FEES & BOOKING
Fees apply and are made onsite via a self-registration booth.
Council does not take bookings for the sites and availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis
Credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) payments can be made at American River, Brown Beach, Stokes Bay, and Vivonne Bay camping ground locations using the PARKEON Pay station. Coin payment is also accepted $2 $1 50c 20c 10c – No change or refunds given.
Prices given here are a guide only and were correct at the date of listing, please check with the campsite for current rates:
Unpowered site $23 a night for up to two people. Additional persons $8 a night

RULES
Camp only in the designated areas.
Open campfires are not permitted during the Fire Ban Season at most campgrounds – refer to signage at the campground or contact Council (for more information on Fire Ban Season contact the CFS website – cfs.sa.gov.au).
Where possible, the use of liquid fuel or gas stoves is recommended.
Generators are permitted between 7:00am and 10:00pm.
Chainsaws are prohibited.
Campgrounds are closed on catastrophic fire danger days.

All camping grounds are pet friendly.
