Antechamber Bay North Campground – Lashmar Conservation Park (CG)

This Conservation Park has two campgrounds, this being on the Northern side of the Chapman River; there are 11 sites here suitable for all except large rigs.

SITE ACCESS
Kangaroo Island may be reached by ferry services departing from Cape Jervis, approximately 2 hours drive from Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula. There are usually four services per day.
Once on the island Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park is located 40km south west of Kingscote. Access to all locations is via D’Estrees Bay Road Road.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual campgrounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

Prices given here are a guide only and were correct at date of listing, please check with the campsite for current rates.
Fees currently are $16 per vehicle.per night.
Self-registration is no longer available in the park, you must book and pay in advance via the link beow

Many National Parks in South Australia require a Park Pass to enter, Kangaroo Island Tour passes are currently (Oct 2020) Unavailable due to bushfire damage. General information on park Passes for SA is available HERE

THINGS TO DO
A favourite for beach lovers, Lashmar Conservation Park adjoins the long sandy beach at Antechamber Bay. The park is an ideal location for swimming, fishing and birdwatching and is just a short drive from Cape Willoughby lightstation.  Explore the park further by canoeing your way along the tranquil Chapman River which flows through the park and into the sea at Antechamber Bay.

RULES
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
Campfires are not permitted at all times in this campground
