Youdales Campground – Oxley Wild Rivers National Park (CG)

There are a total of 6 sites at this location. The location is suitable for Camping beside my vehicle, and Tents.

Hardy adventure seekers will love the remote rugged beauty of the riverside Youdales campground. This pretty campground on Kunderang Brook is nestled between two unspoilt world class wilderness areas. Pitch your tent beside the creek.

This back-to-basics campground will also give you a taste of history – it’s on the site of an old grazing property which was run by the Youdale family and grazed for 150 years. So be sure not to miss out on a visit to the historic Youdales Hut and Stockyards historic site.

Access is for 4WD vehicles with low range only. Trailers, caravans and motorbikes are not permitted.
The access road includes a natural creek crossing that may be impassable after heavy rain – check the height of the water before you cross.

Unsealed road/trail – 4WD only – Dry weather only.
Youdales campground is in the Kunderang Brook precinct of Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. To get there: From the Oxley Highway turn into Kangaroo Flat Road just east of Yarrowitch. Follow Kangaroo Flat road for approximately 20km. Continue onto Mooraback Road into Werrikimbe National Park. Continue into Oxley Wild Rivers National Park on Racecourse Trail and follow the signs to the campground.

Please note: You’ll need a booking key and permit for road access – contact the Walcha office for more details.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you as close to the camp site as possible, or to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Vehicle entry fee: $15 per vehicle per day. $10 for pensioners or annual pass holders. Only applies to day visitors (ie. not applicable if you are paying camping fees).
Camping fees: First night: $25 per vehicle ($15 for pensioners or annual pass holders). Additional nights: $10 per vehicle per night ($5 for pensioners or annual pass holders).

Wood barbecues (firewood supplied), Picnic tables, Non-flush toilets.

RULES
There are no marked sites.
Water is not available at this campground so you’ll need to bring your own supply for drinking and cooking.
This is a remote campground, please make sure you arrive well prepared.
Strong rips and currents may be present at the river – take care in the water and please supervise children at all times.
If you’re bushwalking in this park it’s a good idea to bring a topographic map and compass, or a GPS.
You’ll need a permit and key – contact the Walcha office for more details.
