Wyandra Post and General Store Camp Site (CG)

This site is perfect for camping due to its proximity to the river. They have powered and unpowered sites with toilets and hot showers. 

Glenn and Kim Paterson have lived in Wyandra for many years and they did something that both locals and tourists should be grateful for. They transformed a deteriorating post office into a jewel of a beauty known as the Wyandra Post and General Store. You would love to drop by this tourist facility and be refreshed with cup of tea or awakened by a cup of coffee. Or, you may want to fill your hunger with their yummy fish and chips. But surely, very few would want to miss their famous Wyandra Whoppa Burger!

HOW TO GET THERE
It is located 101km from Cunnamulla via the Mitchell Highway, at around 98km turn left onto Cooper Street then turn right onto Railway Street. The site is on the left.

SITE ACCESS
Along Railway Street, you’ll drive along a dirt road and a small pathway will lead you to the camping site.

THINGS TO DO
You shouldn’t miss to visit the Warrego River where you can just chill by its banks, catch fish like cod and yellow belly or enjoy a swim in its beach! You may also watch a movie in the Outdoor Cinema or check out the Powerhouse Museum or follow the Heritage Trail.
