This campground has 23 numbered sites in a tranquil bush setting. The closest body of water is Wingan Inlet. The coast can be accessed via the fly cove walking track or by boat to the mouth of the inlet.
It is not suitable for Caravans or Large Motorhomes. A number of secluded campgrounds located throughout the park are a perfect base for beach walks, birdwatching, boating and fishing. Shipwreck Creek Campground, Wingan Inlet Campground and Peachtree Creek Campground are all accessible by car.
Croajingolong National Park follows the far-eastern coastline of Victoria for 100 kilometres, it features eucalypt forest, rainforest and heathland. From undisturbed forest foothills to a magnificent wilderness coastline, it is home to a vast array of indigenous plants and animals
SITE ACCESS
Croajingolong National Park in Far East Gippsland is located approximately 450 km east of Melbourne and 500 km south of Sydney. The park is accessed from multiple points along the Princes Highway between Cann River and the New South Wales border. Roads to Wingan Inlet, Mueller Inlet, Thurra River and Shipwreck Creek campgrounds are unsealed and not suitable for caravans. Access is weather dependant. This campground is accessed from the Princes Hwy via West Wingan Road, a 36km stretch of gravel road.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance or as close to the camp site as possible. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FACILITIES
The campground is equipped with non-flush toilets, shared picnic facilities, fireplaces and a designated overnight hiker site for walkers undertaking the Wilderness Coast Walk.
RULES
All the plants and animals in the park are protected. Leave the park as you find it.
Bins are not provided. Please take your rubbish with you.
Firearms are only permitted in the park according to hunting regulations. Please refer to the hunting page.
Solid fuel stoves are not permitted. Use a portable gas stove instead.
Campsites must be at least 20 metres from waterways.
Toilet waste must be buried to a depth of at least 15cm and at least 100m away from waterways.
Dispose of soap and detergent at least 50m from waterways.
Keep to designated tracks.
Vehicles and motorbikes may be used only on roads open to public vehicles. All vehicles must be registered and drivers licensed.
