Located in the heart of Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park, the privately run Wilpena Pound campground offers a full range of accommodation options, including designated powered and unpowered sites nestled among the native pines. There are 40 powered sites suitable for caravans, campervans, camper-trailers and tents, as well as over 300 unpowered bush campsties with awesome facilities. The campground covers 50 hectares and is abundant in wildlife. Campground guests are welcome to use the resort pool, as well as the restaurant, bar and bistro. Regular shuttle bus to the entrance to Wilpena Pound near Hill’s Homestead
Just a short walk from the entrance to Wilpena Pound, the campground is a perfect base for exploring the area. In this natural bush setting, you will encounter kangaroos and emus grazing while wedge-tail eagles soar overhead.
HOW TO GET THERE
Ikara Flinders Ranges National Park is located in the Flinders Ranges between the townships of Hawker and Blinman, 450km north of Adelaide.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee starts at $24.00 unpowered site per night/per couple.
And $35.00 for Powered Site per night/per couple.
Extra person is from $10 per night, child under 12 is from $6.00 per night.
Please note that prices will vary according to the seasons.
Bookings are not essential but highly recommended, especially during busy periods.
Camping fees do not include Park Entry fees, these are charged separately.

THINGS TO DO
Renowned for its natural, cultural and geological significance, Flinders Ranges is one of Australia’s premier national landscapes. The famous landmark of Wilpena Pound (Ikara) is cradled within the park’s towering mountains.
Start your adventure at the Wilpena Pound Visitor Information Centre where you will find extensive information about the park. From there, explore the park’s stunning landscape, Aboriginal rock art sites, fossil heritage and ruins of early European settlement.
For an in-depth look at the wonders of the region join a guided tour and enjoy a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound, or make your own discoveries along the many bushwalking trails and scenic drives.
RULES
The collection of firewood (either dead or alive) is prohibited.
Please bring your own or purchase wood from Wilpena Pound or Rawnsley Park general stores.
Pets and generators are not allowed.
Wood fires and solid fuel fires are prohibited during Fire Ban periods.
