Wilks Park is situated on the east bank of the Murrumbidgee River on Hampden Avenue at North Wagga Wagga. The nice grassy site is within walking distance to the town. The park is suitable for self contained vehicles only from caravans to big rigs, tents are not allowed. The site has trees scattered throughout the area providing some shade to visitors who can stay for a maximum of 72 hours.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the Sturt highway turn North on Colin Knott Drive (A41 to Junee) and turn right after 1.7km onto Travers Street which becomes Hampden Avenue; entry to the camping area is around 500m on the left after crossing the Murrumbidgee River.
