Waychinicup Inlet Campground – Waychinicup National Park (CG)

The inlet of the Waychinicup River is extremely picturesque, with polished granite rocks on both sides. The entry road is suitable for two-wheel-drives but can become flooded. Access is only suitable for four-wheel-drive when flooding occurs. The camping area is not suitable for caravans or camper trailers as there is limited room.

SITE ACCESS
65km east of Albany – a drive of about 45 minutes. The entry road can be hazardous or closed after bad weather.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees are from $8/adult per night, $6/concession card holder per night, $3/child per night (over 5 and under 16 years)
Bookings cannot be made.
The campground is very popular during school holidays and weekends from October to April, particularly public holiday weekends. Be prepared with an alternative place to stay at these times in case there is no suitable site available.

We cannot give any guarantee of availability of camp sites and we cannot respond to enquiries for specific availability information.

FACILITIES
Facilities include a long-drop sealed vault toilet and picnic facilities. Best time to visit: Spring to autumn. There is no fresh water supplied – please bring your own.

THINGS TO DO
Sightseeing, nature study, swimming, bushwalking, rock climbing, fishing and family recreation are popular here. Sights include the unspoilt inlet, boulder-strewn headlands and deep gullies.

GUIDELINES
No Campfires or solid fuel appliances (including stoves, barbeques and heaters) at any time.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
