HOW TO GET THERE
Warakurna Roadhouse is a remote but accessible stopover located in the heart of the Western Australian Outback. Whether you’re coming from Perth, Alice Springs, or the surrounding communities, Warakurna Roadhouse is your go-to destination for a break on your journey.

From Perth:
Take the Great Eastern Highway (National Route 94) east towards Coolgardie. Merge onto Coolgardie-Esperance Highway/National Route 1 heading north-east towards Norseman. From there, continue on the Eyre Highway/National Highway 1, passing by Fraser Range and Balladonia. After Caiguna, take a slight left onto the unsealed Tjukaruru Road, which will lead you straight to the Warakurna community. The roadhouse is just a bit further, indicated by the red marker on your map.

From Alice Springs:
Head west on the Stuart Highway/National Highway 87. After about 200 km, turn left onto Lasseter Highway/National Route 4. Continue on Lasseter Highway passing by Curtin Springs, until you reach the Luritja Road. Turn right onto Luritja Road and drive until you reach the Tjukaruru Road. Turn left onto Tjukaruru Road, and the Warakurna Roadhouse will be on your way.

Local Directions:
Warakurna Roadhouse is located right off the Tjukaruru Road, the main artery that connects this part of the Outback. If you are already in the vicinity, navigate towards the Warakurna community following local signs. The roadhouse is situated near the intersection of Luritja Road and Tjukaruru Road, a key crossroad that is hard to miss. Look out for local landmarks such as the Warakurna Multi-Functional Police Station and the Warakurna Learning Centre.

Remember:
Given the remote location, ensure your vehicle is prepared for long distances in the Outback. Carry enough water, food, and emergency supplies, and always inform someone of your travel plans when heading to or from Warakurna Roadhouse.
