Wahgunyah Conservation Park is relatively undisturbed with long, windswept beaches, dunes, dense coastal mallee and coastal heath understorey. It is home to several bird species, kangaroos and wombats.

Self-sufficient bush camping is permitted in this park. The site is only accessible by 4WD vehicles. There are very limited facilities in the park, it is important that you are self-sufficient and carry adequate supplies of fuel, food and water.

HOW TO GET THERE
Wahgunyah Conservation Park is located between Cape Adieu and the Head of the Bight, approximately 15km south of the Eyre Highway.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees apply to camp in this park. Please pay for and book your campsite prior to arrival as self-registration stations are no longer available in this park.
Camping fee is from $12 per vehicle.

Please check PARK CLOSURES prior to attending.

THINGS TO DO
There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy this park’s pristine coastal environments and wildlife, from bushwalking, birdwatching and beach fishing to touring by 4WD.

Don’t forget to visit the adjoining Far West Coast Marine Park which is a critically-important breeding and calving area for the endangered Southern Right whale and a popular whale watching destination.
