Camp in the ultimate camping destination in North-East Tasmania.
Village Green Camping Area is a popular free camping spot and one of the campsites in Waterhouse Point. It has a ‘closed composting system’ hybrid toilet which is sensitive to chemicals. Campers are to be self-sufficient, which includes bringing of water, toilet paper, food, pre-cut firewood if fires are permitted.
The area is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Waterhouse Conservation Area lies on the North-East Coast of Tasmania about 100 km northeast of Launceston and approximately 42 km east of Bridport.
Homestead Road accesses the principal day use and camping areas in the north. This includes access to Big Waterhouse Lake is via Big Waterhouse Lake Road. The southern section known as Blackmans Lagoon is accessed by the Blackmans Lagoon Road which runs off the B52.
When driving at night please take care as you are sharing the road with wildlife.
