Tarraleah Highland Caravan Park (CP)

Tarraleah’s Highland Caravan Park has clean, modern facilities including newly renovated bathrooms and a free electric bbq. There are 15 powered sites and plenty of space for unpowered camping. Fires are not permitted in the campground or park.

Tarraleah Highland Caravan Park is on the Strahan – Hobart touring route, voted ‘One of Australia’s Top 10 Drives’. Tarraleah is a quiet, clean and serene place to stop and catch your breath for a while. Once a thriving working town, the whole community is now dedicated to accommodation and dining, with a central reception located across from the village green.

HOW TO GET THERE
It is located approximately two hours drive from Hobart, Launceston and Devonport – on the Hobart – Strahan touring route voted “One of Australia’s Great Drives”.  Coming from Hobart, follow Bathurst Street to National Highway 1, take Lyell Highway/A10 to Oldina Drive in Tarraleah and follow Oldina Drive to Pugara Street. Park is on the left.

SITE ACCESS
On the corners of Oldina Drive to Pugara Street, you’ll see their signpost. Make a left turn to Purgara Street and the cemented road will lead you to the site.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee for Powered sites is $36 for 2 people, $33 for Seniors Card holders. For Unpowered campsites is $10 per tent for 2 people. For Unpowered van sites $23 per van for 2 people. There is a fee of $5 per person extra thereafter and rates are per night. For more details you may call or email via the details below.

THINGS TO DO
Endless activities include secret lake kayaking, spa house, waterfall walks and mountain biking. Help feed the highland cattle and go fishing with Australia’s best guides or just get pointed in the right direction. Guests can enjoy golf, squash or even use the gymnasium. You can also spot platypus, Tasmanian devils, wombats and quolls plus over 80 bird species all on the 300 acre Estate.
