Stinson is a rough bush camp site located in dense rainforest and surrounded by tree ferns. There are no views from this site. Remote site off the graded walking track system on an unmarked trail and a 4 hr walk uphill from the Christmas Creek car parking area.
Number of sites: No defined sites. Maximum of 8 people per night.
Camp sites are suitable for: fit, experienced, self-sufficient hikers.
Camp site surface: Dirt.
Important note: The rough trails in this remote area of the park are not marked and are often hard to follow due to false trails and tree falls. These trails should only be undertaken by fit, experienced bushwalkers with good navigational skills and equipment. Topographic maps and compass and the ability to use them are essential. GPS, EPIRB (or PLB) are highly recommended.
Important note: All remote bush camping sites are closed from 1 December to 31 January the following year.

From Broadbeach, drive 40 km to Canungra via Nerang. From the north, take Pacific Motorway exit 34 to Beenleigh, route 92 to Tamborine, and route 90 to Canungra. The 36 km winding and often narrow bitumen road from Canungra requires care and takes at least 50 min. This road is unsuitable for recreational vehicles (RVs) longer than 4m and vehicles towing caravans and camper trailers.
Getting to Binna Burra
Allow 70 min from Broadbeach. Drive 38 km to Beechmont via Nerang. From the north, take Pacific Motorway exit 69 and follow the signs west to Lamington National Park-Binna Burra. The final section of the 10 km drive is very narrow.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
