Southend Camp site is perfect for those who love to camp by the beach. The camping ground offers 20 unpowered sites with ocean views. The campground is on the beautiful Curtis Island. Campers can enjoy a number of outdoor activities. The camping grounds have limited facilities, so visitors are recommended to bring enough provisions for their trip, including gas barbecues (wood fires are not permitted). Composting toilets are located at the grounds; however you may bring a chemical toilet for longer visits.
HOW TO GET THERE
Curtis Island is located in Gladstone Harbour accessed via Private vessels or the local Curtis Ferry service
SITE ACCESS
From the ferry follow the sealed road and at the t junction turn right; follow the road around the bend into Randall Street and take the second left into Seaview Esplanade; the campground is at the end of the houses.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Permits are required and must be displayed on your camping structure at all times. Fee starts at $6 per night per person. Bookings can be made up to six (6) months in advance of the desired camping date. For more information, you may call or email via the details below.
