This 5ha property sits beside the Upper Coomera River in the Gold Coast Hinterland and the campsites set on the banks take full advantage of the views across the river to the bush and farmland beyond. The park prides itself on being an inclusive, fun park that the whole family can enjoy.
There are powered and unpowered sites available and the large grassy, sheltered sites have plenty of room to suit all types of rigs and campers, from tents and trailers right up to the big rigs. The amenities are fairly basic, but there are septic toilets available and drinking water, and a swim in the river will provide a refreshing rinse. Bar-b-q’s and picnic tables are available as well as a large, open recreational grounds area where campers often like to kick a ball around or enjoy a cricket match. Fishing for the freshwater jewfish is also popular and as it is a noted table fish, a good catch could see you bringing back dinner.
The grounds and facilities are kept clean and well maintained. Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided and you can buy firewood there or bring your own. Well behaved and controlled pets are welcome, with the usual common sense and courtesy guidelines applying.
Situated on the Brisbane Scenic Rim, with many interesting destinations for travellers, means there is plenty to keep the family entertained in the local area. The nearby towns of Canungra and Tambourine Mountain and surrounding countryside include several wineries and eateries of notable reputation, as well as numerous opportunities for bushwalking. The Canungra township was once one of the largest producers of timber for construction in the early days of Brisbane, and reveals many historic buildings and sites.
Among the many places worth a visit are the Mountainview Alpaca Farm, Witches Falls walking trail and winery, and the famous Lamington National Park.

Thanks Dogman, Rang and spoke to Caretaker appears this was a one off event and assured us this is not usual practice.
We are thinking about staying there but if there are rowdy people with screaming kids need to give it some serious thought.
Why did the caretaker not take action against these people and ask them to leave?
I makes it so uncomfortable for other campers who just want a nice peaceful time.
Hi Sandy, Apparently the usual caretaker was away that weekend and there was a relief caretaker in. We can only hope it was a one off event as indicated.
Hi is the facility available for group hire?
You would have to contact the managers/owners of this site to confirm.
I definitely did not experience drunken parents or rowdy kids. We have re booked, and will be making this a regular weekend get away.
