The Royal Hotel Harrisville (CG)

The Royal Hotel Harrisville began life in 1875 named the Harrisville Inn. The original hotel serviced the local cotton and beef industries and was one of the earliest hotels in the region. Situated on 1.6 acres of lawn, it is suitable for caravans and group bookings such as car clubs on rallies. They also have a low cost camping area for overnight stays. There is plenty of space to park out the back. Known for being an outstanding example of a Queenslander country pub, it is an ideal venue for Weddings, Birthdays and special occasions.

The Royal Hotel proprietors Steve and Monika Patrick invite you to relax and enjoy a cold beer and a country-cooked pub meal in the lounge and function room or on the classic verandas while looking up the main street of the town. The picturesque views from the alfresco areas make the Royal Hotel Harrisville a great meeting place for your next social club event.

HOW TO GET THERE
It is just 30 km from Ipswich. Head out on Warwick Road and onto the Cunningham Highway, at Warrill View turn left onto Warrill View-Peak Crossing Rd and continue 5km into Harrisville.

SITE ACCESS
Upon reaching Dunns Avenue, you’ll see it on the left with the entrance to the parking and camping area.

THINGS TO DO
They offer canoeing, kayaking, darts, boch’e, basketball hoop and plenty of room to set up a jumping castle or for the kids to play cricket, soccer or footy. Often local trail riders will stop in for refreshments while their horses are “parked” out the back. Locals often go fishing or canoeing as the lawn backs onto the Normanby gully, Harrisville weir.
