Our hotel was built in 1875 to accommodate a vibrant horse/stage coach travel industry. 1923 saw the addition of a “castle like” structure on the western wing of the original building plus more rooms to accommodate the demand of daily travellers.
Although we are situated some 500 metres off the busy (Brisbane to Melbourne) Newell Highway, our main road 931 which passes our front door, is a vital link east/west between Wagga/ Narrandera/ Hay/ Adelaide and attracts a steady array of clientele/campervans and mobile homes.
Keeping in the tradition of our past, we still offer relaxing accommodation for you and your vehicle of conveyance- similar to years gone by-unfortunately due to the drought we cannot afford chaff to feed your horses! But you’re invited in for a friendly chat and/or a meal off the generous menu. All camping on our large block is free of charge, however power and/or bathroom facilities attract a minimal gold coin donation.
