About an hour from Brisbane and just west of Ipswich lies the pretty town of Rosewood. It’s wide range of facilities and quiet country atmosphere make it a perfect base from which to explore the area. The Tourist Park and Camping Ground within the Showgrounds is a comfortable and economical choice of location.

With 20 large powered sites that have water and drainage, and room for 40 or 50 unpowered campsites, there is plenty of room for everyone, whether you have a tent, a van, motorhome, bus, big rig or 5th wheeler. There are toilets and the basic amenities at the site. All are welcome at this Lions Club of Rosewood managed park. The town, with doctor, vet, supermarket, pubs and eateries etc. is even within easy walking distance of the showground.

Rosewood has many points of interest in the town itself, and the nearby Scenic Rim has numerous Gourmet Eateries and beautiful scenic Tourist Drives to encounter and experience. Take a short trip to Ipswich and you will find a wealth of further interesting Heritage and History on display. The Aviation Museum, a Railway Museum to compliment Rosewood’s and abundant examples of Australia’s early architecture are just of a few of the points of interest you’ll discover within easy reach of the Showground.

When you know the dates when you would like to stay, it would be advisable to call first, as for a few days of the year, the campsite is closed to accommodate the local show.
