Free camping is permitted at The Rock Recreation Ground, located in Wilson Street, The Rock. It is also known as Victoria Park and offers many different spaces for camping. There is open space beside the nearby creek. There is a dump point not far from the main entrance gate.
The camping spot is located within walking distance to the town centre and is only 3km from The Rock Hill Nature Reserve. The aquatic centre is adjacent to the Recreation Ground.
Dogs are permitted and The Rock Recreation Ground has an off-leash area.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Rock is located on the Olympic Highway between Wagga Wagga and Henty. Take the signed turnoff to the Town Centre across the railway and follow the road to the left; after 1.1km turn right into Cornwall Street. At the end turn right into Wilson Street and almost immediately left into the Recreation Ground entrance.
SITE ACCESS
Follow any signs to the rear of the grounds and the open areas to your left.
FEES & BOOKINGS
There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean and tidy. and support the local community. There is a donation box, where they request $5 for use of the facilities.
