Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Burnett River in Gayndah, is the quiet and shady Riverview Caravan Park. Riverview is the perfect spot to stay if you’re looking for peace and tranquillity with river views, fishing, swimming and canoeing in a friendly laid back country town that is steeped in history. Gayndah is Queensland’s oldest country town and the citrus capital.
Riverview Caravan Park is located completely off the highway with no passing traffic although still conveniently positioned within walking distance to the heart of town.
The park is pet friendly and offers powered and unpowered sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans and motorhomes as well as large drive through sites for those with big rigs. There is plenty of shade around the park and most of the grassed or slab sites offer river frontage or views. The well maintained park is clean and tidy with all the standard facilities including, a kiosk, free BBQ, camp kitchen, town water and an onsite dump point. There are two amenities blocks, one that has been recently updated and the second one in the process.The full list of facilities are listed below.
Should you want to spend a night out of the van, or need a nice relaxing place to catch up with family and friends who don’t own a caravan, Riverview can help with onsite vans and a range of basic cabins, en-suite cabins, duplex units and lodge rooms to suit all styles and budgets.
It’s not just the position of the park that will make you want to stay a while longer, it’s the relaxed atmosphere with so much at your fingertips to make your stay a pleasant one. Enjoy a relaxing walk through town and take in the scenery and history. Walk along the rivers edge, do some fishing, hire a paddle board or go canoeing. The park is only 3 mins from the boat ramp where you can enjoy water skiing, jet-skiing and more.
Gayndah is well serviced for any essential or medical needs you may have with an IGA, Chemist, 2 Butchers, Post Office, Newsagent, Hairdresser and more.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the south, Riverview is located on the town side of the Burnett River, head west through the main street, past the Grand Hotel and take the second street on the right into Barrow Street. From the north on the Burnett Highway (A3) turn right onto the bridge into town. At the first intersection turn right then take the second street on the right into Barrow Street.
SITE ACCESS
Tree lined sealed and level entry right next to the Kiosk, just pull up and let David and Stacey know you have arrived.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Fees are from $16/night for Tent Sites, $24/night per couple for Unpowered Sites and from $28/night per couple for Powered Sites
Accommodation is from $30 for Onsite Vans and Lodge Rooms, $65 for Basic Cabins and Duplex Units and from $85 for Ensuite Cabins.
Extra Guest – $7, Children under 10 are free.
Linen Hire – $10 per Bed
Stand Up Paddle Board Hire is $40 for Half Day.

Gayndah offers an authentic country experience with a variety of relaxing and interesting attractions. The town is attractive with well-presented colonial buildings.

Archers Lookout
Gayndah sits below the twin hills to the south, affectionately know as the “Duke and Duchess”. Archer’s Lookout sits on the Duke providing an excellent perspective of the whole region.
Gayndah Museum
Open fro 9am – 4pm daily the Museum lets you see what family life was like in rural Queensland during the second half of the 19th Century. You will enjoy seeing the extensive collection of historic photographs, a display of vintage vehicles and machinery, operating and non-operating steam engines and Lung Fish including an interpretive display and two live lung fish.

Open Tuesdays – Sundays 10am – 4pm.
