Camp near the Moulting Lagoon Game Reserve.
The River and Rock campsite can be easily accessed by car or campervan, with excellent group camping available for those travelling in vans! There are also plenty of secluded spots that will accommodate your campervan or motorhome as well – so no need to worry about fees if you choose this site! You might want to bring some water onsite though (not included). This campsite is not in the Freycinet National Park so it doesn’t have camping fees or park entry.
You will need to bring your own water and firewood. There are no showers here either–only a pit toilet. Campers can stay for 4 weeks max before they must leave due to lack of available facilities like drinking water sources (campfires only). Shops and services are available at nearby Coles Bay.
Large open areas are available, or individual bays. Phone and TV reception are also available. Nice shady spot.
If you are driving large vehicles take care of the soft sand. Suitable for tents, campervans, motorhomes, caravans.
HOW TO GET THERE
The River and Rock campsite is located approximately 20 km south of the turn-off to Coles Bay from Tasman Highway A3. Drive to a waypoint on Coles Bay Road, 7.5km North of Coles Bay before turning southwest. Continue for 800m to the campground along the dirt road.

There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean and tidy.
