Red Rock is one of the camping sites in Byfield National Park. Enjoy open grassy areas surrounded by pine forest plantations.

HOW TO GET THERE
Byfield State Forest is 34km North of Yeppoon (To the Forestry Office)
SITE ACCESS
The camping area is 1km along the turn-off signed on Byfield Road, just before the Byfield Forestry office.
FEES & BOOKINGS
You must book and pay for a camping permit before you arrive at a camping area.
Most bookings are made online through the Queensland National Parks Booking Service, and your permit is issued by email.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.85 per person per night, or $27.40 per family per night
$3.75 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved educational excursions
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
An open fireplace or wood BBQ is provided at most sites. Only some campsites have picnic tables and shared facilities are provided in the walk-in camping area next to the car park and toilets. Water must be treated before drinking.
THINGS TO DO
There are walking opportunities from the camping area along the creek or forest trails; the Byfield Store, a short drive away, has all the basic supplies.
RULES.
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
