Roma has long been known as great beef country and touted as the Beef Capital of Australia. And with a range of locally sourced meat products from the local areas Queensland Country Meats showcases the very best in what the region has to offer.

Their beef is locally sourced beef from Elliott Agriculture where meats are hung for a minimum of 5 days to ensure maximum tenderness and flavour. They have an extensive range of gourmet chicken products boasting over 30 lines of different gourmet recipes.

They source lamb from local producers in the Maranoa Region from nearby Brigalow/Belah and Buffel country where the lambs are finished on a grain and meal rotation ensuring a superior flavour. Roast Pork is a camp side favourite with and QCM have ‘Ausprime’ Pork products from the Southern Darling Downs available, and are happy to share the secret for perfect Pork Crackling.

If you are looking for quick easy oven ready items, ideal to just pop in the oven when camping they have a great range including Beef Leprechauns, Beef Wellingtons, Stockman’s Bags, Chicken rolls and a whole range of unique creations. Or perfect for the campsite BBQ, a huge selection of sausages which they have won many awards for.

Add to this a full range of small goods which are made fresh on site and which have earned them the reputation for the best small goods in town.  This is definitely the butcher to visit if passing through or staying at Roma.

HOW TO GET THERE
Located in Westlands Plaza in the heart of Roma off the Warrego Highway.

SITE ACCESS
The shop is located in the plaza and as Roma has wide country streets, there is often ample parking for caravans in adjoining streets if just passing through, or it may be best to unhitch and set up first then venture into the shop.
