Poplar Flat camping area provides an open, flat, grassy area adjacent to Dalrymple Creek, which is popular with campers attracted to the sunny conditions during the cooler months. In most weather the camping area can be reached by conventional 2WD vehicles, camper trailers, caravans and small motor homes. During very wet periods this road may only be accessed by 4WD vehicles.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 100 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, (small) motorhomes and large groups. There are no powered sites.
Camp site surface: Grass.

SITE ACCESS
Beside the camping and information stands-it’s the first camping area on entering the park.
Goomburra
Located about 175 km south-west of Brisbane, Goomburra can be reached from both the New England and Cunningham highways. From the New England Highway turn off the highway 3 km south of Allora onto Inverramsay Road. Follow Inverramsay Road, then Forestry Reserve Road east about 35 km to the park boundary.
From the Cunningham Highway turn off at Gladfield 25 km west of Cunninghams Gap or 13 km east of the Cunningham and New England highway junction, turn north and travel 8 km to join Inverramsay Road. Follow Inverramsay Road, then Forestry Reserve Road to the park boundary.
The last 6 km of road to the park is unsealed and may be impassible due to flooding heavy rain

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Try to book in advance for public holidays. If you wish to extend your stay, you must re-book.
Fees for camping permits are:
$5.75 per person per night or $23.00 per family group per night.
$3.20 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

Composting toilets, wood barbecues, and tap-water.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
