Pine View is a 450 acre privately owned working sheep, cattle and cropping farm centrally located at Goolma 3.5 hrs from Sydney. This is the perfect place to base yourself if you’re looking to visit the many popular tourist attractions in the nearby towns of Dubbo, Wellington, Mudgee and Gulgong which are all less than a one hour drive away.

There are different camping areas on the property suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans or motorhomes, but you must be self-sufficient as all sites are unpowered. Pine View is pet friendly but being a farm with farm animals, your hosts do ask that your dog is well behaved and on a lead at all times. There is plenty of fallen wood around the property to light your campfire and if you run out of water there is tank water available for drinking and washing.

The House Paddock Campsite, which is right near the house and suitable for those who want to be near amenities or want more interaction with the daily activities. This is also the best site if you just want to park your caravan for the night. The most private camping site at Pine View is Col’s Hill Campsite. This camping area is away from the house and furthest from the road but does have a pit toilet. This site is also child friendly as it is a bit of a distance from the closest dam. You will however, be sharing your campsite with the kangaroos at dusk.

The Big Hill Campsite offers amazing views but is only accessible by 4WD’s and probably only suitable for tents. Take a walk to the top of the big hill for some amazing views of the picturesque country side. You may even see some wildlife like foxes etc

The Big Dam Campsite is set beside the big dam and offers plenty of room for larger groups or those who like to spread out. This site may not be suitable for those with small children though. With their growing popularity and regular returning visitors, Pine View will soon have another site available called Lucerne Paddock to ensure all campsites remain spacious and not overcrowded.

Pine View boasts a variety of farm animals, including sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, dogs and an alpaca and most afternoons, the host will come around to the campsites in a buggy, pick up kids and adults too and take them around to get up close and personal with the animals. You might be lucky enough to visit at lamb marking or shearing time and there may even be a poddy lamb or two to feed.

It’s only a short 30 min drive to Wellington or the IGA in Gulgong if you run out of supplies
