Perth Hills Discovery Centre is a small, well-appointed campground that is ideal for first-time campers and families with small children. All 12 camp sites are suitable for small tents (up to 3m x 2.5m floor area) only. Larger tents, campervans, camper trailers and caravans cannot be accommodated. Dogs are not permitted in Beelu National Park.

SITE ACCESS

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

THINGS TO DO
Western Australia’s longest trails, the Bibbulmun Track for walkers and the Munda Biddi Trail for cyclists, pass, respectively, right alongside and close by the campground. Each is suitable for a short walk or ride to and from the campground for most ages and abilities. The campground is very close to Mundaring Weir and expansive views over Lake CY O’Connor and the Helena Valley.

GUIDELINES
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30 but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood or purchase from the visitor centre (see below). When fire restrictions are in place campfires must not be lit and any appliance powered by burning solid fuel must not be used.
Campers’ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services)
The campground is ‘quiet’: generators are not permitted. There is no electric power supply to camp sites.
Vehicle parking is not immediately adjacent to tents: the car park is a short walk from the camp sites. Sleeping in vehicles, campervans, caravans or camper trailers is not permitted.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
