Penstock Lagoon (Beginners Bay) Camp Ground (FC)

Penstock Lagoon is a true wilderness experience, if you want to really get away this is the spot for you. Campers are welcome at this site.
Please note: Boating on Penstock Lagoon is restricted to a 5 knot speed limit and is reserved for fly fishing only.

SITE ACCESS
Access to this site is via the Waddamana Road and GPS co-ordinates below have been checked by FRC. There are two small campground areas in this section of the shoreline and these particular locations  have narrow access tracks and are unsuited to larger caravans or motorhomes.

FEES
There are no fees for camping at this site. Camp sites available on a first-come first-served basis and no bookings are required. As there is no charge for the use of this facility, we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities at this site but there are toilets at the two sites to the North of here. There is a gravel boat ramp located at the Northern end of the Lagoon.

RULES
There is a 14 day limit of stay at all Hydro Tasmania campgrounds unless otherwise signed.

THINGS TO DO
This site offers excellent opportunities for finishing or boating activities.

Fires are only permitted if there are fire pots provided, unless there is a fire ban. Visit the Tasmanian Fire Service website to see the current fire restrictions.

Please remember to leave no trace and take all rubbish with you.
