Parkes Showground Dump Point (DP)

Dump Points are sites especially designed for Recreational Vehicles (RVs) to dispose of their waste, including Grey and Black Water, and Sewerage in an environmentally safe way.

Some Dump Points will have a hose provided for the rinsing of your holding tanks. Be mindful that these hoses may have been used to clean waste, and in no circumstances should be used to fill your drinking water tanks.

Some Dump Points also use recycled water, not intended for drinking. If drinking water is available at these sites, it should be clearly marked. If it is not marked as such, avoid using it as potable water.

HOW TO GET THERE
Parkes is located on the Newell Highway which passes through town.  From the North, after the “S Bend” take the second right into Victoria Street; from the South this is the second left after Coles Supermarket.  Continue along Victoria Street passing the Trotting Track on your right and the entrance is after the right hand curve in the road. 

SITE ACCESS
Drive straight ahead to the caretaker’s cottage just after the stables; turn left and the toilets and dump point is in front of you; there is plenty of room to turn alongside the DP for larger rigs.
