The Park – Mackay (CP)

We offer a friendly service with extra attention given to finding just the right site for either an overnight stay or a discounted weekly stay. We offer clean amenities, well kept sites and easy access for all sized vans with our grassy drive through sites being our most popular. Visitors love our barbeque hut and love to cool off in our large salt water pool. Showers are always hot and we have an indoor camp kitchen for those rainy days.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Park is located off the Bruce Highway, approximately 6km from the Mackay CBD. If heading south, follow the signage to Sarina/Rockhampton and turn left into Farrellys Rd the next set of traffic lights past the Woolworths at Ooralea. If heading north, choose the center lane when you have passed through the “Welcome to Mackay” roundabout and turn right into Farrellys Rd. We’re well signposted from either direction.

SITE ACCESS
We have a large 4 lane entrance to The Park. 3 lanes in and 1 lane out so there is plenty of parking while you check in. Some of our visitors have said it’s the best caravan park entrance they’ve seen in their travels. Please do stop in the “queue here” area though as parking further up near the office does cause congestion.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee is from $29 for unpowered sites and $35 for powered sites.

THINGS TO DO
We’re conveniently located 2km south of the turn off to Eungella which has become a favourite spot for tourists to see platypus in their natural habitat. The 80km drive takes you past the Finch Hatton Gorge with it’s rainforest, waterfalls and rock pools. We’re a couple of kms from the Mackay Botanical Gardens and then a little further to the Blue Water Lagoon and the river walk/bike track. Caneland Shopping Centre has most things you need and a variety of food options and coffee shops.
