Ossies Homestead Farmstay (CG)

Are you looking for a unique farmstay experience?

Ossies Homestead Farmstay is located on a 40-acre heritage property- in the Mid North of South Australia and until recently has been farmed by the Smart family & descendants since 1912. The property then was known as ‘Sunnybrae’.

Our goal is to create a small recluse for self-contained Caravaners & eventually House guests in our Farmstay.

We are set amongst the rolling hills and cropping country with its vast vistas and a seasonal myriad of colours.

We offer sites with power & water, or without if you prefer. In return you can enjoy our farm atmosphere – we have 12 Alpacas some with cria due in the coming months; 12 Wiltipoll Ewes with lambs plus geese & ducks. In honour of the original farm heritage, we have called our studs – ‘Sunnybrae Alpacas’ & ‘Sunnybrae Wiltipolls’.

HOW TO GET THERE
Gulnare is located at the junction of the Goyder Highway (B64) and Horrocks Highway (Great North Road – B82).  From the Highway Junction (Southern) take the B64 East for 5.8km and turn left into Pattersons Road, after 1km turn left again into Pipeline Road and at 1.4km turn right; this road will lead you directly into the property after 600m.

Fee is from $10/ couple for unpowered site and $15/ couple for powered site

THINGS TO DO
Ossies Homestead Farmstay is an ideal base from which to explore the scenic terrain close by. The varied landscape provides opportunities for off road cycling, picnics, bird watching, and wildlife as well as walking, cycling, fishing, and kayaking. Nearby Bundaleer Reservoir offers great fishing spots with easy access via our property. The Heysen & Mawson Trails are also nearby so that you can enjoy some of SA’s most beautiful scenery on foot or bike!
