If you like to get out on the water but are travelling in an RV and can’t carry a boat with you, hiring can be a good option. That’s where O Boat Hire at Noosaville comes in handy. They are located right on the edge of the Noosa River and have a variety of pet-friendly watercraft for hire.

From O Boat Hire’s base, there are more than 20 km of waterways to explore, stretching between Noosa Heads and Lake Cootharaba. Whether you just want to take a leisurely cruise and see the sights, spend your time fishing or birdwatching, or have a BBQ or picnic, O Boat Hire should have something in their range to fit your needs. All hires include fuel, life jackets, fishing gear and eskies, and you won’t need a licence to drive the boats unless there are more than 12 people on board.

O Boat Hire’s large range includes:
• BBQ pontoons — Available in a range of sizes that have maximum capacities between 6 and 15 people. They have a BBQ, shade canopy, cushioned seating and table. There are also deluxe BBQ pontoons with lounge seating and CD player/radio as well as wheelchair-friendly options with access ramps and railings available.
• Front runners — Available in several sizes with maximum capacities of 4 to 8 people. They have a canopy and cushioned seating.
• Cuddy cabs — Can carry up to 6 people. They have a small cabin, canopy and clear, weatherproof side curtains.
• Kayaks — Available for 1, 2 or 3 people and are easy to paddle and manoeuvre.
• Stand-up paddle boards — Light, stable and easy to manoeuvre.
• Jet skis — Can carry up to 3 people. Guided tours are available.

O Boat Hire also has a bait and tackle shop for all your fishing needs as well as fuel, snacks, ice-creams and drinks. If you’d like to take a guided fishing tour with someone else doing the driving, the crew also operate Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures, as well as being booking agents for other tours in the local area.

HOW TO GET THERE
Gympie Terrace runs beside the river through Noosaville. O Boat Hire is located between the tennis court and public toilets in Ely Park.

SITE ACCESS
Access is via a short pathway from Gympie Terrace. There is a parking area near the boat ramp just west of O Boat Hire (at the other end of the tennis court; enter via the roundabout). There is also parallel parking along Gympie Terrace. There may or may not be space for caravans and motorhomes. If driving a large vehicle you may need to park elsewhere.
