Neebs camping area is set among fringes of wallum heath (melaleuca and banksia species) and woodland (bloodwood and eucalypt species including scribbly gum). It is set along the western catchment area of the upper Noosa River, along the Cooloola Wilderness Trail. The camp site provides some shade and are close to natural waterholes, providing a picturesque camping experience. The camping area can be reached by walking track only. Motorised vehicles and bicycles are not permitted on the walking track. Vehicle access permits are NOT required to access these camping sites.
Number of sites: Large, open camp areas with no individual camping sections. Each camp site caters for up to 3 groups to a maximum of 25 people.
Suitable for: Walk-in camping only

SITE ACCESS
From Elanda Point on the Cooloola Wilderness Trail: Neebs is approximately 39.8km.
Cooloola lies between the coastal towns of Noosa Heads and Rainbow Beach.
Noosa Heads is about 155km (about a 3hr drive) and Rainbow Beach is about 240km (about a 3hr drive) north of Brisbane.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Advance bookings required for holiday periods including long weekends and public holidays.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free. Read more about CAMPING COSTS & BOOKINGS.

Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
