Lane Poole Reserve is very popular during school holidays and weekends from October to April, particularly public holiday weekends. The adjacent Nanga Mill campground is an alternative, but this too may have no vacancies.
We cannot give any guarantee of availability of camp sites and we cannot respond to enquiries for specific availability information.
Arriving and departing Lane Poole entry station is staffed 8.30am to 4pm Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only. Campers may set up camp from 12pm (noon) on the day of arrival and must clear the site by 10am on the day of departure. Rangers regularly patrol the campground and reserve.

FACILITIES
Drinking water is not available, campers must bring enough for their own consumption.
Toilets are non-flush. Wash basins and showers are not provided.
Open-air shared-use gas barbeques, picnic tables and benches are provided.
The campground features three communal, shared-use fire pits close to the brook and the tent-only sites each have a fire pit with a barbeque plate.

THINGS TO DO
Nanga Brook, which flows through the campground, is suitable for swimming.
The Murray River, which is accessible at a number of places in Lane Poole Reserve, offers many opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
The 3.8km Chuditch walk trail and the long-distance Munda Biddi and Waterous off-road cycle trails are easily accessible from the campground and the long-distance Bibbulmun Track for walkers is just one of the many other trails that pass through Lane Poole Reserve.

GUIDELINES
Campers’ own generators may be used between 8am and 9pm only. There is no electric power supply at the campground.
Campers’ own liquid or gas fuel barbeques, stoves and heaters can be used at any time, unless a total fire ban has been declared (see Department of Fire and Emergency Services)
Campfires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between 15 April and 30 November but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice. Bring your own firewood
Sites for campervans, caravans and camper trailers have parking for one vehicle only: the campervan or the towing vehicle.
Campers’ are encouraged to follow the simple principles of Leave No Trace to minimise the environmental impact of their visit.
Very few campgrounds have waste bins – take all waste with you when you leave.
