Camping area features: shady areas beside a semi-permanent waterhole in the heart of Currawinya National Park, where you can relax birdwatch and bushwalk.

Number of sites: open areas without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car: walk-in camping: off-road camper trailers: off-road caravans, small off-road motorhomes. Maximum group size 5 people and 3 vehicles per group.
Camp site surface: sand, dirt.

SITE ACCESS
Location: approximately 51km north-west from the ranger station. The camping area can be reached by 4WD vehicle, off-road camper trailers, off-road caravans and small off-road motorhomes and buses in dry weather only.
Currawinya’s southern boundary lies adjacent to the township of Hungerford on the Queensland/New South Wales border.
To reach the park office from the north, travel approximately 170 km south-west of Cunnamulla, turning towards Hungerford 4 km west of Eulo. If travelling from the south, enter the park via Hungerford, 217 km north-west of Bourke. The park office is 4 km north of the Ten-Mile Bore or 20 km north of Hungerford.

Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Obtain permits and pay camping fees at the self-registration at the Woolshed or near the Caiwarro Ruins. Online booking or by phone is also available.
Fees for camping permits are:
$6.55 per person per night or $26.20 per family group per night.
$3.60 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free. Read more about CAMPING COSTS & BOOKINGS.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities on the camp site.

RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
