This spot is one of our favourites in 6 months travelling Australia. Munall campground in the Blackdown Tablelands National Park (about 2hrs drive west of Rockhampton). So beautiful and hardly anyone there! Site 8 is the best I think because you have your own personal track to the river to have a swim. The biggest and levelest are sites 9, 10 & 11. The only facilities are drop toilets so you need to be pretty self sufficient. Only $6.15 per adult per night 🙂 A hidden gem! – Lauren Wallman
Spent a few days there in May 2017 with our rear fold hard floor camper trailer. I include the following information to help you choose a site, as the NPWS site descriptions are a bit lacking. Lauren is correct, #9,10 &11 are by far the best sites, with room for 2 cars, CT and a tent . #8(which we booked and used) is just suitable for a CT, with a bit of a slope, and only just big enough. #2 would be a struggle, with quite a slope. #13 is barely wide enough for a CT, but plenty of room otherwise and a slight cross-slope. #14,15,16 are only good for a car and a tent. #12 would suit a car and a couple of tents whilst #5,6and 7 are not suitable for much at present.
