A family-owned sheep station, 200klm west of Port Augusta, situated in the heart of the Gawler Ranges. If you ever find yourself in this area, you really need to experience this jewel of the outback. Not only are there multiple things to do and experience, but there are also various accommodation options, from onsite cabins and quarters to powered and un-powered camping. Spectacular outback scenery, explore historical landmarks and solitude.
For all campers using powered and un-powered sites can access the camp kitchen in the Gazebo. There is the main kitchen but this is used by onsite room guests. Laundry is also available but is available to long-term guests only. There are fire pits available, but please adhere to any fire restrictions that may be in place. You can also buy diesel and premium unleaded fuel with onsite fuel bowsers.
There is also a basic kiosk and bar with EFTPOS accepted. The kiosk sells soft drinks, ice, chips ice-creams, and some other non-perishables. The bar is always stocked with cold beer, spirits, and wine.

Mt Ive is located in the Gawler Ranges in South Australia which is approximately 200kms west of Port Augusta and 500kms from Adelaide.
You can get to Mt Ive via a number of different routes:

THINGS TO DO
Tracks – Historic Landmarks, buildings, fences, and equipment remain on the station and can be spotted as you drive some of the interesting 2×4 and 4×4 private station tracks or walk around the outbuildings of the homestead.
Sights – The Embankment, Organ Pipes, and Pillars are some of the great sights for you to see. Showing off some of the most accessible examples of exposed rhyolite found in the Gawler Ranges and the hard work put in by the men of old to collect a valuable supply of water. You can also drive or walk to the summit of Mount Ive for a spectacular view over the ranges.
Birdwatching – We have a wide range of birds that are resident or visit the station including the Western & Short-tailed Grasswrens, Mulga & Port Lincoln Parrots, Crimson & White-fronted Chats, White-fronted & Pied Honeyeaters, Splendid & White-wing Fairywrens to name a few.
