Morning Glory River Resort is owned and operated by Greg & Tony Gilmour and their wives Meighan & Suzanne. Brothers Greg and Tony who have owned and lived on the farm for 40+ years, decided to convert the farm into a campsite that now offers you and your family a completely unique Murray River holiday experience. Located just 25 Min from the historic Echuca – Moama region and 15 min from the Barmah National Parks and wetlands makes this the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore the many attractions the area has to offer.

With 3kms of private Murray River frontage, this family orientated & pet friendly campground offers powered & unpowered, grassed and shaded caravan & camping sites with a choice of 3 amenities blocks, all with camp kitchens & 2 laundries. The sites around the reception & kiosk area are popular with family groups as it is just a short walk across to the solar heated swimming pool, tennis court, playground, games room, sports oval and the golf & mini golf courses. The Kiosk is open daily and the campground also has its own boat ramp & jetty. Powered river sites are available as well as sites further back if you have young children you may be concerned about.

Further downstream from the boat ramp you move into our unpowered section. This is quite a large section that continues down toward the sandy beach. Recently finished in this area is the “solar powered” amenities block which has a camp kitchen with BBQ, stove, oven and sink plus 2 shower & toilet cubicles for your convenience. This area is perfect for larger groups who are seeking a private area away from the main resort complex.

HOW TO GET THERE
Morning Glory Resort is located directly south of Barmah; follow Barmah Road for around 4km and then turn left into Gilmour Road. Follow Gilmour Road to the end (around 6.9km).

SITE ACCESS
Coming from Echuca turn in at mailbox drum with a burgundy sign on right and from Shepparton on left. Follow 7 kilometres of unsealed road to Kiosk and Reception

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee is from $36/ night per couple for unpowered site and $40/ night per couple for powered site. Please note that prices will vary according to the seasons.

THINGS TO DO
Relax, watch the river flow lazily by and enjoy the peaceful bushland setting. There are plenty of free resort facilities to keep the young and young at heart amused as well. Build a campfire & toast marshmallows, throw a fishing line in the river and try to catch a Murray Cod, play tennis/golf/mini golf (all equipment available from the kiosk)
Take a walk around the farm walking tracks to view the newborn lambs & calves

Drive around to Cape Horn Vineyard for a wood fired pizza lunch and play chess
on the oversized outdoor chess board or Bocce on the lawn (20 mins away)

Pack a picnic and spend the day at Billabong Ranch where you can horse ride, do
archery or wall climbing, outdoor 10 pin bowling and pat the farmyard animals (30 mins
away)

Learn the history of the area at the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre (25 mins away)
