Situated on one of the most pristine water ways in Victoria, in the small picturesque town of Nowa Nowa, is the Mingling Waters Caravan Park and Cafe. Only 15 mins from Lakes Entrance, this is the ideal holiday destination where you can enjoy swimming, canoeing, bike riding, fishing, bush walking or simply relaxing by the lake.

With accommodation options to suit everyone from bush camping, to cottages and a 110 year old bunkhouse, Mingling Waters is perfect for backpackers, couples, families and groups looking to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful country camping experience.

Mingling Waters is pet friendly and offers powered, unpowered and bush camping sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans and motorhomes. There are plenty sites around that offer shade, all with direct access to the lake and an easy passage to the toilet and laundry block. The lakehouse communal kitchen is fully equipped with a lounge overlooking the lake and plenty of dining space with seating and open fires outside adjacent to the BBQ facilities.

The park boasts an onsite Cafe and Takeaway featuring some of the best speciality hamburgers, homemade vegetarian/vegan burgers, homemade cakes, muffins, fruit pies and coffee that you’ll find in the region. The cafe building also houses the Gallery where they have a great section of comic books and pop culture Memorabilia as well as an Arcade Machine.

For those that like to enjoy a rural retreat in comfort, there is accommodation available including a fully self contained cottage that sleeps 8 and looks out over the lake, the Lakehouse cottage that sleeps 10 and the bunk house that sleeps 22 and great for family,friend and groups.

For additional supplies, there is a general store, health centre and seasonal craft shop within 50 metres of the park. For an evening meal, a few drinks, or a game of pool venture across the road to the pub. Lakes Entrance is a short drive and is well facilitated with supermarkets and everything you would expect in a big town.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the west (Lakes Entrance) approaching Nowa Nowa the Highway takes a long right hand bend then turns left; look for the Hotel on the left and the Caravan Park is opposite. From the east (Orbost) cross over the river and past the Bruthen intersection (C620), the Park is 400m on the right.

SITE ACCESS
When turning off the road you will see the restaurant, this is where you check in. The driveway is a big loop for easy access to all vehicles.

The Ramsdell Museum Collection
A unique display of exotic Australian wood sculptures and the polished gemstones.
The Gallery also displays the work of local artists and many fine pieces are for sale.

Fish off the jetty located at the back of the park, where you can catch, flathead, bream, tailor, mullet, luderick, or trevally.

The Nowa Nowa Gorge.
Is a 350 million year old Devonian rock formation. There is a walking track that leads from the park to the Gorge lookout. On the way, you can fossick for your own gemstones in the safe waters of Boggy Creek. Jasper, Iron Ore, Quartz Crystal are but a few of the stones that you may find.

The Park also provide guided tours that will take you through the historic past of this ancient wilderness area of far East Gippsland, dating back 40,000 years, with the indigenous settlers on the shores of Lake Tyers.

Explore the tranquil waters of Lake Tyers, the gem of the Gippsland Lakes, on a guided tour or a solo expedition.
