The campground is nestled among a canopy of coastal mallee overlooking a picturesque white sandy beach and tranquil blue bay. There are 5 Sites available at this location with toilets and non potable water. Be self-sufficient and carry adequate supplies of drinking water – do not rely on tanks or creeks for water. Caravans are not permitted.
HOW TO GET THERE
Lincoln National Park is located 13km south west of Port Lincoln. Access is via Proper Bay Road.
Memory Cove is 50 km from Port Lincoln in Memory Cove Wilderness Protection Area. Travel south from Port Lincoln to Lincoln National Park. The Wanna access gate in Lincoln National Park is 19 km from Memory Cove. 4WD vehicles are recommended as the road is unsuitable for conventional vehicles at certain times of the year. A maximum speed limit of 30 km/hr applies. Vehicles must stay on existing tracks. Caravans are not permitted.
Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping fees from $12 per vehicle (max 8 people).
Entry fees are required to enter this National Park.
You must book to stay in one of the five campsites with three night maximum stay.
Bookings are essential and can be made through the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre on (08) 8683 3544. A pass and key are needed to access the Memory Cove area with a required $50 key deposit.
To protect the wilderness qualities of this very special area, visitor numbers are restricted to 15 vehicles a day (4WD recommended).
Many National Parks in South Australia require a Park Pass to enter. The prices for the Park Parks may vary. Read more about FEES & PARK PASSES.

THINGS TO DO
The park provides habitat to a diverse range of native wildlife. More than 123 species of birds are known to visit the area providing ideal birdwatching opportunities. Look out for the Australian sea-lions and New Zealand fur-seals that haul up on the coast to rest after lengthy fishing trips at sea, or the southern right whales that are occasionally sighted from the park. The bottle-nose dolphin and common dolphin are frequently seen close to the shore.
RULES
The collection of firewood (either dead or alive) is prohibited.
At Memory Cove Campground, all wood fires or solid fuel fires are prohibited to low water mark throughout the year.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
NOTE: Feral bees occur within the park and can become a nuisance to visitors during summer when they are attracted to water.
