Bush camping is offered in Mariala National Park. The road to reserve can be reached by 4WD (only). It is not accessible to trailers, caravans, buses or motorhomes. Access to bush camping within the park is walk-in only.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car at the road reserve or tent only within the park.
Camp site surface: dirt.
SITE ACCESS
Mariala is 128 km north-west of Charleville on the main road to Adavale.
Mariala can be reached by heading 128 km west from Charleville on the road to Adavale. This road dissects the park and entry points are well signposted from the Charleville side. Access roads within the park follow old seismic lines and boundary fences. All roads are unsealed and may become impassable when wet. A 4WD vehicle is recommended.
Please note: GPS Coordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the entrance. Once inside the park there should be signs to the actual camp grounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite. Book in advance for all weekends, public holidays and school holidays. Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance.
Fees for camping permits are:
$7.00 per person per night or $28.00 per family group per night.
$3.85 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved excursions.
FAMILY RATE. For camping fees, a family group is defined as one or two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of 8 people. Children under 5 years of age are free.

FACILITIES
There are no facilities on the camping site. Visitors must be self-sufficient. Take a first-aid kit, vehicle spare parts and extra supplies of drinking water, food and fuel.
RULES
Keep to defined vehicle tracks and walking trails.
Camp in designated areas to avoid damage to fragile vegetation.
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
