Great overnight spot
Whist this site is technically a rest area it has been approved for overnight stays for a maximum of 20 Hours for travellers. A large open site with big picnic shelters but no shade.
HOW TO GET THERE
Marathon Rest Area is 65km West of Hughenden or 47km East of Richmond on the flinders highway. It is a large drive-through area with basic facilities.
