Magool’s Camping (CG)

Magool’s is a 40 acre property on the main road into Agnes Water and 21 kilometres before the township of Agnes Water and The Town of 1770 which is the closest departure point for the Southern Great Barrier Reef (the best bit). It is 7.5 kilometres past the Fingerboard Roadhouse on the right hand side going towards Agnes Water.

The property is selectively cleared and a small number of cattle graze the property. There is a secluded site away from power and down near the dam if that suits you. If you just need a safe, cheap overnight stop off the road then this may be ideal as you can be back on the road first thing in the morning and easily on your way to more adventures.

There is plenty of parking and turn around areas and caravans, motorhomes and camper trailers are welcome.

HOW TO GET THERE
Magools is located 7.8km past the Fingerboard Road junction and Roadhouse towards Agnes Water, we are on the right and signed at the entrance.

FEES
Cost is $10/night or $15 if power is required

RULES
Pets are ok but there is cattle on the property so they need to be controlled.(the pets that is, Ha).

FACILITIES
A toilet and shower is available but self contained rigs are preferred.

You are welcome to use the washing machine for a gold coin donation.

THINGS TO DO:
There are bee hives on the property but if you don’t bother them they are certainly too busy to bother you. They might like you to buy the fruits of their hard work before you go anyway!
