Great spot to camp and relax.
Macquarie Heads Camping Ground is a camping ground with basic facilities offering well-grassed sites located at the northern end of Macquarie Harbour, Strahan.
Some guides show multiple campgrounds here but it is all one entity, there is a Number 2 Camping area around 1 km. further, along the road, the payment and check-in area is at the first part as you approach Strahan where the Dump Point is also located.
HOW TO GET THERE
From the roundabout in central Strahan take the C251 (heading West) and follow the signed road for 13.4km, the campground is on the right.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Fee is $15/vehicle per day. Caretaker on site.
FACILITIES
Facilities available are toilets, non-potable water, fire pits, picnic tables, trash bins, a dump point, and a boat ramp.
RULES
Please obey any local signage.

The campground is a great place to relax and enjoy the wildlife. It is also a perfect spot for fishing.
