Lions Den Hotel – Rossville (CG)

The Lions Den Hotel was built in 1875 on the banks of the Little Annan River, surrounded by 100 year old mango trees and tropical landscapes. It is a landmark hotel made of timber and iron, famous for its quirky decorations and walls adorned with visitor’s signatures. Wonderfully situated in a lush valley,the Lions Den Hotel offers powered and unpowered camping (suitable for even the largest caravans and camper trailers) with children’s playground, natural swimming holes and beautiful grounds overlooked by mysterious Black Mountain. Other options such as lodges and dongas are also available.

HOW TO GET THERE
It is located 56.5km from Lakeland. Head north on Sesame Street, turn left onto Mulligan Highway/State Route 81 and turn right onto Shiptons Flat Road. Lions Den Hotel is on the right.

SITE ACCESS
Site access is straight off Shiptons Flat Road which is dirt road. You’ll see a pathway at the right side of the hotel where it will lead you to the camping ground.

FEES & BOOKINGS
Fess are $12/night unpowered and $30/night with power for 2 people.
