Lake Poorrarecup is the largest lake in the Shire of Cranbrook and is popular for swimming and skiing during the summer months. Camping is available at the lake, however, there is no potable water available. Changerooms, toilets, and barbecue facilties are available on site.
Camping is permitted in designated areas only and campers should report to the caretakers upon arrival to obtain a camping permit.
Please be advised that pets are not allowed at the lake sites.
HOW TO GET THERE
Proceed to waypoint 13km east of Frankland on Cranbrook Frankland Road. Turn south onto Lake Poorrarecup Road. Proceed on dirt road for 9km. Turn west onto track for 200m to picnic area on lake.
FEES & BOOKINGS
Camping is free during off peak, however, a fee is $10.00 per passenger vehicle/motorbike per day during peak periods when caretakers are in residence.

Water-based activities abound at Lake Poorrarecup such as boating, canoeing, waterskiing and sailing.

Take your rubbish with you.
Protect the environment around the lake.
Camping and cooking fires are prohibited within the Shire of Cranbrook from 1 October – 30 April each year or unless written permission has been expressly given by the Shire of Cranbrook

We camped there 5-7 June 2018. Rubbish bins were supplied. Great place when the wind and rain eased.
