Lake Placid Tourist Park (CP)

Lake Placid Tourist Park, part of the Top Tourist chain, offers caravan and tent sites as well as budget or luxury accommodation in a 14 acre tropical rainforest resort setting. The park is adjacent to the cool, crystal clear waters of Lake Placid, at the base of the World Heritage area of the Barron River Gorge National Park. Located near Cairns city, the park is central to the main tourist attractions such as Skyrail, the Kuranda Scenic Railway and northern beaches, and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

Our staff will greet you with a friendly welcome and help you to park your van if you need assistance. They will ensure that you feel at home, have a wonderful stay and will even store your van and car free of charge if you book a tour to Cape York through the office in conjunction with our tour partner.

Relax by the resort style pool, take in the sounds of bird life throughout the park. There are many opportunities to see native birds nesting in the trees. Lake Placid is a short stroll away, take a picnic lunch and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the clear water. Hire a kayak or push bike if you are feeling a bit more adventurous. There is also the opportunity to white water raft with a local tour company leaving each afternoon from the park. Weekly activities for our guests during peak season are a highlight and a great way of meeting fellow travelers.
