Campground perfect for bird watchers.

Self-sufficient bush camping is permitted in this park. The site is only accessible by 4WD vehicles. There are very limited facilities in the park so please ensure to carry sufficient water, food, and supplies for your entire visit.

HOW TO GET THERE
Lake Newland Conservation Park is located 31km north of Elliston via Flinders Highway. Turn left after 27km into Lake Newland Road and follow it to the Lake. Please note, the park is only accessible by 4WD.

Please note: GPS Co-Ordinates are approximate and provided in most cases to get you to the National Park entrance. Once inside the park, there should be signs to the actual campgrounds. Failing this please check with National Parks for further directions.

FEES & BOOKINGS
There is no charge for the use of this facility, so if you are staying at this site we encourage you to help keep it clean and tidy.

THINGS TO DO
Lake Newland Conservation Park features the most extensive wetland on the Eyre Peninsula. The natural saline lakes and freshwater springs extend 20km in length, providing habitat for a number of species of waterfowls and wading birds. Bring your 4WD and your binoculars to fully appreciate the range of birdlife that thrives in Lake Newland’s extensive wetland environment.

RULES
Take rubbish home with you – if you carry it in, carry it out.
Wood fires and solid fuel fires are prohibited between 1 November 2021 to 13 April 2022.
