Great campsite by the lake.
Lake Gairdner campground is a truly rough and rugged wilderness experience, if you want to really getaway this is the spot for you. Campers are welcome at this site, it is reasonably roomy with grassed areas and it is by the lake.

SITE ACCESS
Access to this site is via the C132 Cradle Mountain Road.
FEES & BOOKINGS
There are no fees for camping at this site. Campsites available on a first-come-first-served basis and no bookings are required. As there is no charge for the use of this facility, we encourage you to help keep it clean, and please visit and support the nearest town or village.

Please obey any local signage.
THINGS TO DO
This site offers excellent opportunities for finishing or boating activities. The town of Sheffield is not far away as are Tazmazia and Mt Roland. It is also within striking distance to Cradle Mountain.
Fires are only permitted if there are fire pots provided unless there is a fire ban. Visit the Tasmanian Fire Service website to see the current fire restrictions.
Please remember to leave no trace and take all rubbish with you.
